About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Industrial Engineer - Project Coordinator to support their operations in Norwich, Norfolk . This role will involve assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of industrial engineering projects focused on process improvement, efficiency gains, and operational enhancements. You will work closely with the engineering team, production staff, and management, helping to coordinate project activities, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a foundational understanding of industrial engineering principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and defining project scope and objectives.
- Coordinate project-related activities, schedules, and meetings between engineering, production, and other relevant departments.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and report status updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Support the engineering team in data collection, analysis, and the documentation of process improvements and project outcomes.
- Help ensure that all project activities adhere to company standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Facilitate communication between different teams involved in projects, ensuring smooth workflow and timely resolution of any coordination issues within the Norwich facility.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or a junior industrial engineering role.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies and industrial engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Project, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various levels of staff in Norfolk .
