About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Industrial Engineer with a focus on supply chain optimization to join their team in Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's supply chain operations, from procurement to delivery. You will analyse complex logistical networks, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions to improve flow, reduce costs, and increase responsiveness. This position offers a dynamic blend of strategic planning and practical implementation within a critical business function, with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and optimize all aspects of the supply chain , including logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model supply chain scenarios and identify optimal solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners to ensure seamless integration.
- Design and improve warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and transportation routes.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong emphasis on supply chain and logistics.
- Proven experience in supply chain optimization techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency with supply chain modeling and simulation software, as well as data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model , balancing remote work with on-site collaboration.
