Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain

About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Industrial Engineer with a focus on Supply Chain optimization to join their team in Liverpool . This pivotal role will involve analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements across the entire supply chain, from warehousing and logistics to distribution and transportation. You will leverage data analytics, process mapping, and lean methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. The hybrid working model allows for essential on-site collaboration with warehouse and logistics teams, balanced with remote analysis and strategic planning, contributing to a more agile and responsive supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing supply chain operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and logistics, to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement optimized warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and distribution networks.
• Develop and execute strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery times.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain integration and performance.
• Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model and predict the impact of proposed supply chain changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering , with a strong emphasis on supply chain and logistics.
• Proven track record in optimizing warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation logistics.
• Proficiency in supply chain simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
