About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Derby . This role is key to improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall productivity of their production lines. You will be involved in analyzing existing processes, implementing lean principles, and supporting the integration of new technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions for increased efficiency.
- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen events, and visual management.
- Develop and optimize production schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct time studies and work measurement to establish standard operating times.
- Assist in the design and layout of production facilities and workstations for optimal workflow.
- Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, ensuring smooth integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of process simulation or CAD software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
