About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing operational efficiency and productivity across various manufacturing and production facilities. You will be instrumental in analyzing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions that streamline workflows and reduce waste. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes, workflows, and equipment utilization to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Design efficient factory layouts and material handling systems to improve workflow and reduce cycle times.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and management teams to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an industrial engineering or process improvement role.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.
- Experience with CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
