Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Industrial Engineer to join their team based in Leeds . This role is crucial for optimizing production efficiency, improving workflow, and implementing cost-effective solutions within their manufacturing operations. You will work closely with plant management and production staff to identify challenges, develop process improvements, and ensure the smooth running of operations. This position offers a blend of on-site analysis and remote data interpretation, contributing directly to the company's operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment utilization to identify inefficiencies.
• Design and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collect and analyze production data to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement changes and provide necessary training.
• Assist in the planning and layout of new production lines or modifications to existing ones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Good understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
