About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Portsmouth . This role is essential for driving operational efficiency and implementing process improvements on the factory floor. You will be involved in analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and developing practical solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Design efficient factory layouts and material flow systems.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress towards efficiency targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing support role.
• Familiarity with process optimization techniques and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of CAD software for layout and process design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.
