Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join their progressive team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire , with a hybrid working arrangement. This role is key to enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing production processes, and implementing sustainable improvement initiatives. You will be involved in analyzing current systems, identifying areas for enhancement, and working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose practical solutions for improvement.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, such as Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.
• Assist in the design and optimization of factory layouts and material flow systems.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
• Collect and analyze production data to track performance and identify trends in Sheffield .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and basic understanding of Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
