About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join their operations team in Oxford . This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing processes and operational workflows. You will be involved in analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and optimize resource utilization. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within a leading industrial organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes and operational data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement optimized workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and facility layouts.
- Assist in the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques to reduce waste and improve flow.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement process changes effectively.
- Collect, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency.
- Support engineering projects focused on cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in an industrial engineering or operations role.
- Familiarity with process mapping, value stream analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exposure to CAD or simulation software a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
