About the Role
Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Industrial Engineer to enhance operational efficiency at their manufacturing facility in Nottingham . This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving workflows, and reducing waste to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness. You will work on a variety of projects, from analyzing data to implementing new methodologies on the factory floor. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer passionate about driving continuous improvement and making a tangible impact on manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement optimized production layouts and workflows.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish production standards and improve operator efficiency.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and management to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
- Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an Industrial Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as CAD, simulation tools, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
