Industrial Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team and drive operational excellence at their facility in Derby . This leadership role involves overseeing all industrial engineering activities, including process design, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for developing strategic plans, managing projects, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of modern industrial engineering techniques, and a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the industrial engineering department, including staff development and performance management.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of new manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across all operations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align industrial engineering efforts with overall business objectives.
• Manage budgets for engineering projects and capital expenditures in Derby .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale process improvement projects.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation .
