About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Industrial Equipment Installer & Technician to join their busy team in Glasgow, Scotland . This role is critical for ensuring the correct setup, ongoing maintenance, and efficient operation of specialized industrial machinery. You will be working in various manufacturing and production environments, performing complex installations, diagnosing technical issues, and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within an industrial context and a commitment to safety and precision in all tasks undertaken in the Installation & Maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission new industrial equipment according to technical specifications and site plans.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and servicing on machinery to ensure operational reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults on industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Ensure all installation and maintenance work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of service, repairs, and parts inventory for all equipment serviced.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Industrial Equipment Installation or Maintenance Technician role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
