Industrial Equipment Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and technically proficient Industrial Equipment Technician to join their team in Oxford . This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized industrial machinery and equipment used in manufacturing and production environments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance, minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to operational excellence in the Oxfordshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new industrial equipment according to manufacturer specifications and site plans.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and lubrication of machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair or replace faulty components and ensure equipment is fully functional.
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations on the workshop floor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Equipment Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with a variety of industrial machinery (e.g., CNC machines, production lines).
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in a factory setting in Oxford .
• A valid UK driving license may be required for occasional site visits.
