About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Machinery Maintenance Fitter to join their dedicated engineering team in Oxford . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of manufacturing and production equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing repairs on a wide range of industrial machinery. This is a hands-on position for an individual who takes pride in their mechanical aptitude and is committed to maintaining operational efficiency within a busy industrial environment in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on various types of industrial machinery .
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of worn or faulty parts to strict specifications.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings , schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Fitter in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skills in fitting, turning, and basic fabrication.
• Ability to work with various types of machinery, including conveyors, motors, and pumps.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is essential.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
• Must hold a full UK driving license for travel within the Oxford area as required.
