About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join their busy operations team in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK . This critical role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and machinery within an industrial setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, contributing to the smooth running of operations in the Leeds facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in an industrial environment.
• Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on electrical equipment to identify potential faults.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely and effective repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with the commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with proven experience in industrial maintenance.
• Hold a recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, C&G).
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motor controls, and PLC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of electrical faults.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations relevant to industrial electrical work.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
