About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their busy installation and maintenance team in Bristol . This role is essential for ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of industrial machinery and plant equipment across the South West region. You will be responsible for performing both routine preventive maintenance and reactive repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship in the Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and lubrication of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair and installation activities.
• Install and commission new equipment as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
