About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their installation and maintenance team in Derby . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of industrial equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently. This hands-on position is perfect for an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards in an industrial setting within Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs.
• Install and commission new machinery, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Derby .
