About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Industrial Operations Engineer to join their facility in Wolverhampton . This role operates under a hybrid model , combining on-site work with remote flexibility. You will focus on optimizing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, improving workflows, and ensuring the seamless execution of production plans. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing best practices. You will collaborate with production staff, management, and other engineering disciplines to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement plans to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Monitor operational performance against set targets and report on key metrics.
- Work with production teams to ensure smooth daily operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies into the production environment.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through suggestion and implementation of best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial operations or manufacturing engineering role.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Experience with production planning and scheduling systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
