About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Process Engineer to join their established operations in Leeds . In this role, you will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be hands-on, working directly on the factory floor to analyse current operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement changes to manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and management to implement process improvements.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools and techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes into the manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or process engineering role.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, production planning, and quality control.
- Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM).
- Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and process flow diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
