About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to contribute to their manufacturing operations in Birmingham . This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of production lines through meticulous analysis and innovative engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for optimization.
- Design and implement process improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Collaborate with production staff and management to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production systems.
- Monitor production output, quality metrics, and efficiency data, reporting on performance trends.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process engineering capacity.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing plant environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
