About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality within the manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production flow, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping and 5S.
- Design and implement new process layouts and equipment configurations as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes and provide training.
- Monitor process performance using data analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a process engineering or industrial engineering role.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in process analysis, simulation, and data interpretation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
