Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to join their established manufacturing operations in Milton Keynes . In this role, you will be focused on the continuous improvement of production processes, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality, and safety on the factory floor. You will work closely with production teams and management to identify and implement solutions that reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance product quality. This is an on-site position offering a direct impact on the company's operational success within a core manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production workflows and identify areas for optimization using process mapping and data analysis techniques.
• Develop, test, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Collaborate with production staff to understand their challenges and provide technical support for process-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards throughout all implemented processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new equipment or process modifications, providing detailed recommendations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process performance, highlighting areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial process engineering within a manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and quality control systems.
