Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to enhance operational performance at their facility in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . This role is critical for streamlining manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work hands-on with production teams, analyzing existing workflows and implementing data-driven improvements. The successful candidate will be a key player in driving operational excellence, utilizing their engineering expertise to solve complex challenges and contribute to the company's ongoing success in a vital industrial region.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement process modifications to increase production output and reduce costs.
• Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Work closely with production staff to train them on new processes and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Monitor process performance using statistical methods and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and ensure product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing preferred).
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process engineering role.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience with process simulation or data analysis software is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for interacting with diverse teams in Sunderland .
