Industrial Refrigeration Engineer

We are recruiting for experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineers to join a growing engineering team, with opportunities available across the Manchester and Leeds areas .

This is a field-based role working on customer sites, carrying out the service, maintenance, and fault-finding of industrial refrigeration systems . You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and be involved with some of the UK’s largest refrigeration customers.

Industrial refrigeration experience is preferred, but engineers with a strong commercial refrigeration background and a good understanding of refrigeration principles are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain industrial refrigeration systems and associated equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance work
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high engineering standard
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Provide technical information and guidance to customers on site
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, safety and efficiency
• Complete service reports and relevant documentation
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team
• Continue developing technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components and technologies

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer
• Strong understanding of refrigeration fundamentals
• Commercial refrigeration experience will also be considered
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good customer-facing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements
