Are you a Software Engineer with strong C# and SQL skills looking to develop and support production-critical applications within a complex industrial manufacturing environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering team responsible for developing and supporting systems that underpin large-scale manufacturing operations. Working within a diverse operational technology environment, you will be involved in application development, database management, system integration and operational support for business-critical platforms.

You will play a key role in improving system reliability, data integrity and overall performance while contributing to the ongoing modernisation of legacy platforms. This is a varied position offering exposure to industrial systems, data platforms, process control technologies and business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience with C# development and SQL databases, alongside a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or process-based environment would be advantageous. A basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems would also be beneficial, although direct PLC programming experience is not essential.

The Role:

• Develop and support production-critical applications primarily using C# and SQL
• Troubleshoot systems and integrations across complex manufacturing operations
• Improve system reliability, data integrity and overall performance
• Support reporting and visualisation solutions including Grafana and Power BI
• Contribute to legacy system support and major modernisation projects
• Work alongside operational, process control and wider technical teams

The Person:

• Strong commercial experience with C# development
• Good SQL experience
• Experience working with integrated systems and data flows
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Manufacturing, industrial or process environment experience desirable
• Basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems advantageous
• Python and/or PHP experience beneficial but not essential
