About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their remote security operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and disseminating threat intelligence to protect the organisation from evolving cyber threats. You will play a critical role in understanding the threat landscape, identifying potential risks, and providing actionable insights to enhance defensive measures. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyse threat intelligence data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, and incident reports.
- Develop and maintain threat profiles of relevant actors, campaigns, and malware relevant to the organisation.
- Produce regular threat intelligence reports and briefings for security teams and senior management, highlighting key risks and trends.
- Support incident response activities by providing timely and relevant threat context and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Collaborate with security operations centre (SOC) analysts to operationalize threat intelligence into detection rules and defensive strategies.
- Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a cyber security role, with a specific focus on threat intelligence or security analysis.
- Proven ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data sets from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Understanding of common attack vectors, malware types, and threat actor methodologies.
- Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis is a plus.
