Our client is seeking a vigilant Information Security Analyst to join their dedicated team in Birmingham . This role is crucial in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and systems. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an information security role, preferably as an analyst or similar.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and threat intelligence platforms.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and common vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
