Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
• Perform initial triage and investigation of security incidents, escalating as necessary.
• Analyze security trends and identify potential vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure.
• Assist in the implementation and configuration of security tools and controls.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation and procedures.
• Support security awareness initiatives for staff members across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in an information security or IT operations role with a security focus.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, common cyber threats, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools and techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in Edinburgh .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
