Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Information Security Analyst to join their team in Norwich . This role is crucial in monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to threats, and supporting the overall security posture of the organization. You will work with a dedicated security team to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of IT systems against a backdrop of evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate is vigilant, analytical, and eager to contribute to a secure operational environment within a company that values proactive security measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze their scope and impact, and perform root cause analysis.
• Assist in the implementation and configuration of security monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain security documentation , including incident response playbooks.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and assist in remediation efforts.
• Provide security awareness training and support to end-users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+) are a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in an information security operations or analysis role.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools and technologies, such as SIEM platforms.
• Understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common security vulnerabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with excellent attention to detail.
