Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Information Security Architect to design and oversee the implementation of robust security solutions for their organisation based in Liverpool . This senior role is responsible for creating secure system architectures, defining security standards, and ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of the organisation's technology infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, IT, and business units to translate requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient designs. This is a strategic position for an experienced architect who thrives on building secure foundations and driving security innovation, offering a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise architectures, encompassing networks, applications, cloud environments, and data protection.
• Define and maintain security architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organisation.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organisation's security posture.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed system designs and infrastructure changes.
• Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with at least 4 years in an architectural role .
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA), and technologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for on-premises, cloud (AWS, Azure), and hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, cryptography, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
