Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Information Security Architect to join their fully remote team, supporting operations globally and impacting security initiatives for their UK presence, including in Glasgow, Scotland . This role is critical in designing, building, and implementing secure IT infrastructure and systems that protect against complex cyber threats. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient architectural solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of secure enterprise-level network and cloud architectures.
• Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Evaluate and select appropriate security technologies and solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure security is integrated into the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead threat modeling exercises and architectural risk assessments for new projects and systems.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship on security architecture best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in an architecture role.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network security design.
• Proven experience with security frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), cryptography, and data protection.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
