Information Security Auditor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Information Security Auditor to join their team in Oxford . This role is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the organization's information security controls and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations. You will conduct audits, identify control weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions to enhance the overall security posture. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audit principles and information security frameworks, with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute information security audits across various systems and departments.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls.
• Identify compliance gaps and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Document audit findings clearly and concisely, including evidence and observations.
• Report audit results to management and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
• Stay current with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and audit methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Accounting, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in information security auditing, IT auditing, or a related compliance role.
• Solid understanding of information security principles and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience with audit techniques and documentation.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
