Information Security Auditor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Information Security Auditor to join their team in Wolverhampton . In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our security controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Your work will be essential in identifying control weaknesses and recommending improvements to safeguard our information assets. You will collaborate with various departments to assess risks and promote adherence to best security practices, contributing to a culture of strong governance and risk management throughout the organization, ensuring the integrity and protection of sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute information security audits based on established frameworks and methodologies.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls.
• Identify and document control deficiencies and non-compliance issues.
• Develop detailed audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure remediation actions are implemented effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security auditing or IT auditing.
• Knowledge of common security frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Familiarity with audit principles, techniques, and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
