Information Security Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Information Security Compliance Officer to join their remote team, ensuring adherence to security standards and regulations. This critical role involves assessing and improving the company's compliance posture, developing and maintaining security policies, and coordinating audits. You will work closely with various departments to embed compliance into daily operations and safeguard sensitive information against regulatory risks and breaches. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify gaps.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance assessments and examinations.
• Manage the process for data privacy compliance, including GDPR and other relevant regulations.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training focused on compliance requirements.
• Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, updating policies and procedures accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and governance.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing remediation plans.
• Excellent understanding of data privacy principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
