About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Information Security Compliance Specialist to join their team in Nottingham . This role will focus on ensuring the organization adheres to relevant industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies related to information security and data privacy. You will conduct audits, manage compliance frameworks, and work collaboratively with various departments to maintain a strong compliance posture. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of compliance standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs related to information security and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for and coordinate external audits and assessments.
- Manage documentation related to compliance, risk assessments, and security controls.
- Advise business units on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards and update policies accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Law, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in information security compliance, audit, or risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of key compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.
- Experience with conducting risk assessments and gap analyses.
- Strong understanding of data privacy principles and security controls.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
