Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Information Security Consultant to join their growing team in Glasgow . You will advise clients on a wide range of information security matters, helping them to assess risks, improve their security posture, and achieve compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to build trusted relationships and deliver high-impact security solutions tailored to diverse client needs. You will work on varied projects, providing expert guidance and practical recommendations to enhance client security resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and present tailored security strategies, policies, and roadmaps to clients.
• Advise clients on compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) and help them achieve adherence.
• Assist clients in the selection and implementation of security technologies and solutions.
• Perform security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Deliver security awareness training sessions to client staff.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and regulatory changes impacting businesses.

Requirements

• Proven experience in information security consulting or a similar advisory role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, DLP, IAM, and cloud security solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into business solutions.
• Strong presentation and client management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
