About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and solutions to their diverse client base, supporting projects in the Oxford region and remotely. This role involves assessing security risks, developing strategies, and implementing measures to protect client information assets. You will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging your deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and best practices to deliver tailored security programs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and implement tailored security strategies, policies, and procedures for clients.
• Advise clients on best practices for data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Provide expertise on security architecture, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.
• Assist clients in selecting and implementing appropriate security technologies and solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients on security findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a senior advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and technologies.
• Strong understanding of various regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver projects effectively.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are essential.
