Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on a contract basis. Based out of Belfast , you will assess current security postures, identify risks, and develop tailored security strategies for diverse business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You will work on various projects, helping clients enhance their security defenses and achieve compliance objectives, often blending onsite and remote work for our client's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and present strategic security recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
• Advise clients on security best practices, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and emerging threats.
• Assist in the design and implementation of security controls and solutions.
• Provide expert support during security incidents and forensic investigations.
• Deliver security awareness training and policy development guidance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of various cybersecurity domains, including network security, application security, and cloud security.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are strongly preferred.
