Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on security matters. This role involves assessing current security measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to enhance the overall security posture for various projects. This is a flexible, remote-based contract position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere. You will work closely with client teams, providing actionable insights and helping them implement robust security frameworks. We are looking for a self-motivated consultant with a broad understanding of cybersecurity risks, compliance requirements, and best practices across different industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and gap analyses of client systems and processes.
• Develop tailored security strategies, policies, and procedures to meet client needs.
• Advise on cyber security best practices and emerging threats.
• Assist clients in implementing security controls and technologies.
• Provide expertise on regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a senior security advisory role.
• Strong understanding of information security principles, risk management, and governance.
• Expertise in areas such as network security, application security, cloud security, and data privacy.
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
