About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on security matters to various business units in Leeds . This role involves assessing current security postures, identifying risks, and recommending practical, effective solutions to enhance the organization's defense mechanisms. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to ensure security initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This consultancy position demands excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses for client systems and processes.
• Develop and present strategic security roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Advise on best practices for data privacy, compliance (e.g., GDPR), and security governance.
• Assist in the selection and implementation of appropriate security technologies and solutions.
• Provide expert support during security incident investigations and post-incident reviews.
• Deliver security awareness training and workshops to client personnel.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or similar advisory role.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with security auditing and compliance standards.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CRISC are strongly preferred.
