Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and solutions to a diverse range of clients in Glasgow . This contract role involves assessing security risks, developing strategic recommendations, and assisting with the implementation of security improvements. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored security strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses for client organizations.
• Develop and present strategic security roadmaps, policy recommendations, and best practice guidelines tailored to client needs.
• Advise clients on security architecture, data protection, cloud security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Assist clients in the implementation and optimization of security controls and technologies.
• Provide expert support during security incident investigations and response planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for all cybersecurity matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong background in consulting or advisory roles.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop actionable security strategies.
• Knowledge of various security domains including network security, application security, cloud security, and data privacy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills, with the ability to adapt to different client environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly advantageous.
