About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Information Security Consultant to join their dynamic team in Leeds . This critical role involves providing expert advice and technical support on a wide range of information security matters, including risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and compliance initiatives. You will work closely with clients across various industries to understand their unique security challenges and implement effective solutions. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client data. As a consultant, you will be instrumental in driving security best practices and delivering tangible value to our clients, operating from our Leeds office with potential for client-site travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and security audits for clients.
• Develop and implement tailored security strategies and solutions based on client needs.
• Advise clients on data protection regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR).
• Perform security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs.
• Respond to security incidents and provide post-incident analysis and remediation guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA) are essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security consulting or a similar advisory role.
• Proven expertise in security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards.
• Strong technical knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
