About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Information Security Consultant to advise and support their business operations from their Norwich location. This role is crucial for assessing security risks, developing and implementing security strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with various departments to understand their security needs and provide expert guidance on best practices and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of information security principles and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect company assets.
• Advise on security best practices for network infrastructure, systems, and applications.
• Assist in the planning and execution of incident response activities and business continuity strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in an information security or cybersecurity role, preferably in a consulting capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and risk management methodologies.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and security monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of network security, data privacy, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
