About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant to provide expert guidance and strategic security solutions to internal stakeholders and clients in Manchester . This role involves assessing security risks, designing robust security frameworks, and advising on best practices to protect against cyber threats. You will be a key advisor, helping to shape and implement effective security strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design and architect secure IT solutions and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Advise on and implement security best practices, policies, and procedures across the organisation.
• Lead and manage security projects, from planning and execution to completion.
• Develop and deliver expert security recommendations and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to provide informed guidance.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in information security , with a significant portion in consulting or advisory roles.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
• Proven experience in threat modelling, risk assessment, and security architecture design.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IAM, DLP, and encryption.
• Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are essential for this Manchester -based role.
