Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Information Security Manager to oversee and enhance their security posture in Derby . This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic security initiatives, managing the security team, and ensuring the protection of critical information assets. You will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a security-aware culture throughout the organization. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance and professional development.
• Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
• Promote security awareness and training programs across the organization to foster a strong security culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and executing enterprise security programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, risk management frameworks, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are highly desirable.
