Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives within the Oxford area. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's overall information security program, ensuring the protection of critical assets and compliance with industry standards. You will manage a team of security professionals and collaborate with senior leadership to align security strategies with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies , policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the management of security operations, including incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-level security programs.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR), and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with cloud security principles and technologies is a plus.
