About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives. This is a pivotal, fully remote role where you will be responsible for overseeing the entire information security program, ensuring the protection of valuable company assets and data. You will guide a team of security professionals, develop cutting-edge security strategies, and champion a security-first culture across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of risk management, and the ability to drive security excellence in a distributed team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's overall information security strategy and roadmap.
- Lead and mentor a team of information security professionals, fostering their growth and development.
- Oversee the management of security infrastructure, including network security, data loss prevention, and identity and access management.
- Establish and manage the security incident response plan, leading the response to any breaches or security events.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Conduct regular security awareness training for all employees to promote a culture of security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with cloud security principles and implementing security controls in AWS, Azure, or similar environments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing security budgets and vendor relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, suitable for a remote management position.
