About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Manager to lead and mature their security program in the vibrant city of Cambridge . This role requires a strategic leader who can develop, implement, and manage robust security policies and procedures to protect the organization's critical data and systems. You will be responsible for risk management, incident response, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is adept at managing teams and collaborating across departments in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's comprehensive information security program.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and lead security incident response activities, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Manage and mentor the information security team, promoting skill development and a strong security culture.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to integrate security into all operational processes.
• Manage security awareness training programs for all employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and incident response protocols.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability management tools, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
