Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Milton Keynes . This senior role is responsible for developing and executing the overall information security strategy, managing the security team, and ensuring the protection of the organization's valuable data assets. You will play a critical part in building a resilient security program that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This leadership position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of information security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee risk management processes, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across the enterprise.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Manage the incident response process, coordinating efforts to effectively handle security breaches and minimize impact.
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to promote security awareness and integrate security into business processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security management or a similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs and policies.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks , security controls, and incident response methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are essential.
