Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security program in Leeds . This critical role involves developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization's information assets. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of information security, including risk management, compliance, incident response, and security awareness training. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of current security threats and mitigation techniques, driving a culture of security excellence throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and mature the information security risk management framework, identifying and assessing threats and vulnerabilities.
• Oversee the incident response process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security breaches.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for all employees.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security frameworks and policies.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable.
